This position will lead the production team of 4-5 people at our location in northeast Bozeman and will be responsible for managing client relationships and our daily production schedule. Experience in the apparel industry is not required, as training will be available.
Operations Manager Position
Job Responsibility Overview
Sales – Be familiar with our product catalog and pricing, and communicate these details to customers in person, by phone, and by email.
Procurement – Daily ordering of soft goods such as shirts, jackets, hats, bags, etc. to be decorated for customer orders. Weekly monitoring and ordering of production supplies such as thread, backing paper, needles, etc.
Create production work orders – Deliver work orders to the production team including decoration details and due dates.
Customer communications – Communicate with customers by phone, email, and in-person to send an estimate, invoices, and finalize all details of projects after approval.
Embroidery production – Provide help to the production team including machine operation, trimming, finishing, and packaging of orders.
Skills Required
Computer skills – Email programs, Google docs and sheets, Quickbooks basics, online ordering platforms, internal project management platform. Training in Quickbooks and project management platform will be provided.
Embroidery machine operation – Familiarity with the basics of industrial machine embroidery. Training will be provided.
Soft Skills critical for success:
- Clear, friendly communication with both customers and the production team.
- Attention to detail – Accuracy in order sizes, quantities, locations, and order due dates
- Timeliness and dependability regarding work schedule: Mon-Friday 8am – 4:30pm.
- Self-motivation and organized work life
- Sewing, design, apparel decoration experience, or drafting/layout experience is a plus!
Compensation
Our operations manager is eligible for compensation in the form of annual salary from 40K+ DOE, as well as health insurance.
